A law firm is seeking an Attorney for their Meridian office. The Attorney will be responsible for all phases of litigation, including creating defense strategy, client communication, conducting investigations, depositions, motion practice, trial, and appellate activity. They will draft reports, discovery, motions, and other legal documents, attend court appearances, and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. Duties:Experience in all phases of litigation, including defense strategy creation, client communication, investigations, depositions, motion practice, trial, and appellate activity.Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity.Draft discovery requests and respond to discovery.Draft and respond to discovery-related motions.Regularly attend court appearances.Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.Draft motions for summary judgment.Proactively manage the docket.Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.Mediation, arbitration, and trial experience, either as first or second chair.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent research abilities and written and oral communication skills.A book of business is a plus. Requirements:Admitted to practice in the State of Idaho.2+ years of insurance defense experience, preferably in auto/trucking liability. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in the State of Idaho.
