A law firm in Longmont, CO, is seeking a Water Law Associate Attorney with a strong interest in Colorado water law and 4-8 years of legal experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in Colorado water-related matters, including water court proceedings and water rights transactions.

 

Duties:

  • Handle Colorado water-related matters, including water court proceedings and water rights transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to water law issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements, pertaining to water rights.
  • Represent clients in water court proceedings and administrative hearings.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on water law matters.
  • Assist with negotiations and transactions involving water rights.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Colorado Bar.
  • 4-8 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on water law.
  • Strong interest in Colorado water law and related issues.
  • Knowledge of Colorado water court procedures and regulations.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the Colorado Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Experience in Colorado water-related matters, including water court proceedings and transactions.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
