A law firm based in Cleveland is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with experience in gaming regulation, preferably within the tribal gaming sector. The ideal candidate should have a background in drafting and arguing discovery motions, conducting and defending depositions, and possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills. They should be adept in case management and capable of taking the lead on litigation matters. Admission to practice law in at least one state is required.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and argue discovery motions related to gaming regulation cases.
  • Conduct and defend depositions in litigation matters pertaining to the gaming industry.
  • Manage litigation cases independently, including overseeing case strategy and deadlines.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in the gaming industry, focusing on casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, and fantasy sports.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in at least one state.
  • 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry.
  • Strong background in gaming regulation, with a preference for experience in tribal gaming.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and motions related to litigation.
  • Ability to conduct depositions effectively and defend clients' interests.
  • Excellent oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and take the lead on litigation matters.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in at least one state.
