Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join a growing Private Wealth Services Practice in the Austin office. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, trust and estate administration, and estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. Duties

  • Provide estate planning services for high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Assist in trust and estate administration.
  • Advise on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to handle multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • Research and draft legal documents related to estate planning and administration.
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication to clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning.
  • Strong academic credentials, with a preference for candidates in the top of their class or graduates from a top-tier law school.
  • In good standing with the Texas Bar or eligible for admission to the Texas Bar.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar is a plus, to support multi-jurisdictional practice.
  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is strongly preferred, but not required if the candidate has a solid background in trusts and estates.
  • Must be licensed to practice in Texas or eligible for admission to the Texas Bar.
