Pre-Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Boston, MA is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience in personal injury cases to manage all aspects of personal injury cases up to the filing of a complaint. The ideal candidate will have strong research, verbal, and written communication skills, the ability to handle a large caseload, and experience providing direction to a team.

Job Overview:

• Managing all aspects of personal injury cases up to the filing of a complaint
• Providing guidance and counsel to clients
• Supervising and providing direction to a team of staff members
• Negotiating and authorizing settlements in the pre-litigation stage

Duties:

• Evaluating the merits of personal injury cases
• Supervising and providing direction to a team of staff members
• Reviewing medical records and conducting medical case reviews
• Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategy
• Negotiating and authorizing settlements in the pre-litigation stage
• Providing guidance and counsel to clients throughout the pre-litigation process
• Prioritizing client representation and delivering exceptional customer service
• Managing a large and active caseload efficiently and effectively
• Utilizing strong investigative and problem-solving skills

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• License in good standing to practice law in Massachusetts
• 2+ years of experience with client contact and/or negotiation experience
• Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to handle a large and active caseload
• Prioritization of client representation and customer service
• Success providing direction and guidance to a team of staff
• Formidable negotiation skills
