Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation attorney with 0 to 7 years of experience for its Encino, CA office. The successful candidate will excel in legal research and writing, and demonstrate a passion for advocating on behalf of public safety employee clients in complex situations. Experience or interest in collective bargaining, grievance litigation, and administrative hearings is preferred.

Duties

• Advocate for clients in challenging legal environments.
• Negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
• Litigate grievances and unfair practice charges.
• Represent clients in administrative disciplinary investigations and hearings.
• Participate in 24-hour critical incident response rotation.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel.

Education
