General Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney with exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of legal tasks related to general liability matters and represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions.

Job Details:

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours.
• Regularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses as needed.
• Prepare for trial, including trial attendance.
• May require some travel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Pennsylvania; admission in other states is a plus.
• 1-5 years of experience in general liability litigation.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research abilities and written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent client management skills and telephone manner.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries.
