A law firm in Hanford, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle all aspects of general civil litigation cases. The ideal candidate will represent clients in hearings and trials, conduct research, draft pleadings and motions, develop client relationships, mentor junior associates and paralegals, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.

 

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of general civil litigation cases, including strategy, fact investigation, discovery, pretrial, and trial work.
  • Represent clients in hearings and trials, presenting their cases effectively.
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues to provide sound legal advice.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and various legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain strong business and client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Mentor junior associates and paralegals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Demonstrate solid knowledge of court procedures and experience appearing in court.
  • Utilize trial experience if available, contributing to effective litigation strategies.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, oral advocacy, and oral presentation skills.
  • Display exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Exercise excellent judgment and decision-making skills in legal matters.
  • Previous experience acting as the lead attorney on litigation matters is advantageous.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Member of the California State Bar in good standing.

 

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
