Job Overview:
A growing immigration law firm based in San Diego, CA is seeking a U.S.-licensed Immigration Attorney to join its team. This flexible full-time or part-time position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload including asylum, family-based immigration, removal defense, and business immigration matters. The ideal candidate will bring both legal experience and cultural competence to a client-centered practice serving multilingual communities.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration matters including asylum, family-based petitions, and removal defense

  • Handle business immigration cases, including employment-based petitions and visa applications

  • Prepare and file legal documents with USCIS and immigration courts

  • Attend immigration hearings and client interviews

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

  • Maintain clear and responsive communication with clients from diverse backgrounds

Requirements:

  • At least 1–2 years of immigration law experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of current U.S. immigration laws and procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple cases with accuracy and timeliness

  • Commitment to providing empathetic and culturally sensitive legal services

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the United States

  • Good standing with the relevant state bar

Skills:

  • Immigration law expertise (asylum, family, removal, and business immigration)

  • Legal research and writing

  • Courtroom representation and client advocacy

  • Fluency in Russian or Vietnamese (preferred)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
