Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Immigration Associate Attorney in San Diego, CA. This hybrid position allows for remote work most days, with up to three days a week in the Escondido, CA office. The role requires a passionate attorney with a minimum of five years of experience in immigration law, focusing on representation before USCIS and EOIR.

Duties

  • Communicate timely with clients, team members, and agencies.
  • Draft and file court pleadings and applications for relief.
  • Review and conduct quality control of applications and legal documents.
  • Prepare for client meetings and develop case strategies.
  • Provide zealous representation and conduct legal research.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to team members.
  • Meet individual and firm goals based on KPIs and expectations.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law by the highest court of any U.S. state.
  • Minimum five years of experience in EOIR and USCIS, focusing on family-based immigration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of immigration law and procedure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong strategic mind and litigation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Ability to travel to the Escondido, CA office.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed attorney in good standing.

Skills
