A law firm is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to provide comprehensive legal representation and counsel to clients in matters pertaining to family law. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting client needs assessments, communicating directly with clients, and diligently preparing for court hearings and trials.

 

Duties:

  • Perform thorough client needs assessments to understand their legal issues and objectives.
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide legal advice, guidance, and updates on case progress.
  • Prepare thoroughly for court hearings and trials by conducting legal research, gathering evidence, and developing case strategies.
  • Draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, and agreements, adhering to legal standards and requirements.
  • Engage in effective communication with opposing counsel, court professionals, and other relevant parties to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
  • Draft professional and persuasive correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, including paralegals and legal assistants, to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing with relevant state bar association(s).
  • Proven experience in family law practice, with a focus on divorce, child custody, support, and other related matters.
  • Strong understanding of family law statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and legal professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop effective case strategies.
  • Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.

 

Certifications:

Certification in Family Law by the relevant state bar association(s) or other recognized legal organizations (preferred).
