Job Title: Patent Prosecution And Litigation Technical Advisor

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Sunnyvale, CA, is currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to join their Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group, specializing in Electrical Engineering & Software. This position will provide an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the patent prosecution and litigation space.

Duties:

  • Support patent prosecution and litigation activities related to electrical engineering and software technologies.
  • Conduct technical research and analysis for patent matters, including preparation of patent applications and responses.
  • Assist in drafting technical documents and reports for use in patent litigation.
  • Provide expert technical support to legal teams during patent-related legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to develop strategies for patent prosecution and litigation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes impacting intellectual property in the field of electrical engineering and software.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience with wireless communication technologies, including 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field is required.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications or technical qualifications related to the field of patent prosecution or technology are preferred but not mandatory.

  • In-depth knowledge of patent prosecution and litigation processes.
