Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated Pleading Review Associate Attorney to join its team in Fairlawn, OH. Job Details:

  • Review pleadings for accuracy, including venue, balances, named parties, statute of limitations, documentation, and theories of recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with organization goals, strategies, and values, following all protocols.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on applicable laws affecting pleadings.
  • Handle secondary responsibilities such as court appearances, file management, and collections negotiations.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exhibit strong pleading and complaint experience, especially in the context of collections-related court documents.
  • Display motivation by working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Utilize computer and word processing skills, including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and a quick ability to learn new technical programs.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in Creditors’ Rights or Collection fields.
  • Possess a Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.).
  • Must be licensed in the state of Ohio.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
