A law firm in Indianapolis is seeking a Mid- to Senior Level Healthcare Associate Attorney with 4+ years of demonstrated experience in healthcare transactional matters. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in counseling healthcare providers on various regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine, and Medicare/Medicaid billing and reimbursement. This position offers opportunities for advancement in a collegial environment, extensive training with growing levels of responsibility, and collaboration with talented attorneys across practice groups and offices.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Counsel healthcare providers on a range of regulatory matters, including fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine, and Medicare/Medicaid billing.
  • Handle healthcare transactional matters such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and private equity deals.
  • Draft and review contractual arrangements, including management agreements, provider services agreements, and physician employment agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on healthcare-related issues to clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups and offices in a team-oriented environment.
  • Work in a brand-new office space in a growth-targeted location.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in health care transactional matters.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong law school credentials and references.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in healthcare law (optional).

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and transactional matters.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Cultural competence to work effectively with diverse clients and colleagues.

New associates are assigned to one of five sections: Bond/Municipal Finance, Business, Labor, Litigation, or Real Estate.
