A law firm in Dallas is seeking an Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred. The successful candidate must be a good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. They should demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently under the supervision of a partner.

 

Duties:

  • Handle the legal process from investigation to trial under the supervision of a partner.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, building and establishing relationships.
  • Advise clients on the status of cases, arbitrations, and proceedings.
  • Respond to and prepare discovery requests.
  • Prepare legal analysis memorandums, briefings, and reports.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Respond to and prepare motions and engage in motion practice.
  • Appear before the Court on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, pretrial proceedings, and trials.
  • Prepare post-trial motions and appeals, if required.

 

Requirements:

  • Good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas.
  • 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients.
  • Familiarity with legal research and writing.
  • Experience with motion practice and trial preparation preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Must be a good-standing active member of the State Bar of Texas.

  • Ability to work independently and under the supervision of a partner.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
