Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with substantial experience in litigation, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. The ideal candidate will have a science background and exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills. Strong communication abilities, project management expertise, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide timely, accurate, quality work product to meet deadlines and expectations.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • As necessary, engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work, virtual conference calls, and meetings.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Background in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) is required.
  • Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • J.D. degree.
  • TX Bar admission.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.

Education and Certifications:

  • J.D. degree.
  • TX Bar admission.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
