A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Corporate Real Estate Associate to join its distinguished real estate practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, real estate M&A, and financing. This position offers exposure to a wide range of clients, including private equity funds, development partners, institutional investors, and more. The role provides an opportunity to work with a collaborative team of attorneys locally and across offices while focusing on high-impact real estate matters.

Duties

  • Lead and support various real estate transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financing arrangements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice in the context of complex real estate deals.
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, including contracts, agreements, and financing documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage and execute development projects and real estate M&A.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely execution of tasks.
  • Develop relationships with clients and contribute to business development efforts.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in joint ventures, development projects, and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of the real estate investment landscape and related legal issues.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide practical legal advice to clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction in which you are applying.
