A law firm seeks an Intake Attorney to join their Elk Grove, CA team. This position involves providing legal assistance and advice to clients, primarily in landlord-tenant matters. Below are the details:

Job Overview:

The Intake Attorney will guide clients through the eviction process, offer legal counsel over phone consultations, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and occasionally represent clients in court appearances.

Duties:

  • Assist clients step-by-step through every phase of the eviction process
  • Provide legal advice through phone consultations
  • Conduct legal research to identify and assess cases and legal issues
  • Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices, tailored to client needs
  • Direct and oversee legal document preparation and review, including summonses, complaints, and stipulations
  • Assist with occasional court appearances and client presentations

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar license
  • 0-3 years of attorney experience
  • General knowledge of civil litigation
  • Familiarity with landlord-tenant principles (preferred)
  • Understanding of the litigation process and California Civil Code (desired)

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar license
