Litigation Defense Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Defense Associate for its Portland, OR office. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in handling defense litigation cases independently and interacting directly with clients.

Duties

• Manage a variety of defense litigation cases including business litigation, construction law, and product liability.
• Draft, write, and research legal documents effectively.
• Maintain excellent client relationships and interpersonal communication.
• Engage in deposition, motions practice, and trial proceedings.

Requirements

• Membership in the Oregon State Bar.
• Five or more years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in law firm and case management preferred.
• School law or public entity defense experience is desired but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Oregon State Bar membership.
