A law firm in Seattle is seeking a Private Equity Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team to assist with data and experience input and maintenance, drafting template documents, monitoring legal developments, and coordinating with various teams within the firm. The Private Equity Resource Attorney will play a crucial role in supporting the Private Equity practice group by assisting with various knowledge management, training, marketing, and resource-related initiatives. This role requires strong drafting, communication, organizational, and analytical skills, along with a deep understanding of private equity transactions.

 

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team to input and maintain M&A/PE data and experience
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing precedent template documents
  • Curate and organize the PE group’s forms, precedents, and know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments related to private equity practice and the firm’s core industry verticals
  • Develop and maintain the internal landing page for the PE group
  • Coordinate with the firm’s legal education team to prepare content for associate trainings and firmwide training efforts related to PE
  • Work closely with the PE/M&A marketing team to strategize on firm PE promotion and assist with the creation of content for pitches and teach-ins
  • Collaborate with the quantitative analyst group on matters specific to PE funds and transactions
  • Assist resource attorneys in other practice groups on best practices and overlapping initiatives
  • Field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Be involved in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in the United States
  • 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice

 

Skills:

  • Mastery of substantive areas of practice in private equity
  • Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industries commonly advised by the firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills
  • Strong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skills
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
