Senior Attorney New York City office

A law firm based in New York City, NY is currently seeking a Senior Attorney to join their team. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for conducting and defending depositions, managing a case docket, and representing clients in court. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interactions with clients, legal professionals, and third parties. The role also requires producing high-quality deliverables, promptly responding to correspondence, and meeting deadlines consistently. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation, with strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Duties:

• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage a case docket efficiently
• Represent clients in court appearances
• Communicate effectively with clients, legal professionals, and third parties
• Produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to phone calls and correspondence
• Meet deadlines and perform assigned duties diligently
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required
• Undertake any other duties or projects as assigned by the firm

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Experience with multi-district litigation is desirable

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of New York (or ability to waive in)
