The attorney will work closely with senior partners to manage a wide-ranging portfolio of transactional work, and the role requires a strong aptitude for business development. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in corporate, business, and commercial transactional matters.
  • Collaborate with senior partners to manage a diverse book of transactional work.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Participate in due diligence, negotiations, and closings of complex M&A and other business transactions for private companies.
  • Assist with business development efforts to grow the firm's client base.
  • Maintain a commitment to delivering superior client service and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in corporate, business, and commercial transactional matters.
  • Strong understanding of general corporate and commercial law.
  • Significant experience in handling sophisticated M&A and other business transactions for private companies.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for business development.
  • Experience with non-profit law and non-profit formations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with franchise law (preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
