The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in the courtroom, including jury trials. The attorney will play a crucial role in the legal proceedings, advocating for clients in a courtroom setting. The position requires a Virginia law license and exceptional interpersonal skills, complemented by strong research and writing abilities.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings, with a focus on jury trials.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to negotiate settlements or resolve disputes.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Stay informed about changes in the law and legal precedents relevant to the firm's practice areas.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients based on thorough analysis and interpretation of laws.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff or defense).
  • Strong preference for candidates with personal injury trial experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
