A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a talented Real Estate and Land Use Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, development, and other intricate commercial real estate transactions. Proficiency in drafting, communication, and a comprehensive understanding of title, survey, and commercial real estate due diligence are essential. Experience in the real estate aspects of renewable and conventional energy project acquisition and development is advantageous. The candidate should have a strong academic record, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively engage with clients, business partners, and legal teams.

 

Duties:

  • Manage complex commercial real estate transactions, including real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to real estate transactions, such as purchase agreements, leases, and financing agreements.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence processes, including title and survey reviews, to ensure the legality and accuracy of transactions.
  • Provide strategic advice and legal counsel to clients on real estate and land use matters.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, business teams, and legal colleagues to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Assist in the real estate aspects of renewable and conventional energy project acquisition and development.
  • Stay abreast of changes in real estate laws and regulations to provide informed counsel.
  • Handle other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 3-5 years of law firm experience in Real Estate and Land Use, preferably in a sophisticated national law firm setting.
  • Expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development.
  • Thorough understanding of title, survey, and commercial real estate due diligence processes.
  • Experience with renewable and conventional energy project acquisition and development is a plus.
  • Strong academic record demonstrating proficiency in real estate law.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions.
