Pre-Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves supervising and providing direction to a team of staff members while evaluating the merits of personal injury cases. The Pre-Litigation Attorney will guide and counsel clients, conduct medical case reviews, and perform thorough research and legal analysis. Key responsibilities include negotiating and authorizing settlements in the pre-litigation stage, prioritizing client representation and customer service, and managing a large and active caseload.

Duties:

• Supervise and provide direction to a team of staff members
• Evaluate the merits of personal injury cases
• Provide guidance and counsel to clients
• Conduct medical case reviews
• Perform research and legal analysis
• Negotiate and authorize settlements in the pre-litigation stage

Requirements:

• A license in good standing to practice law in New York
• 2 years of experience with client contact and/or negotiation experience
• Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to handle a large and active caseload
• Prioritization of client representation and customer service
• Excellent investigator and problem-solver skills
• Success providing direction and guidance to a team of staff
• Formidable negotiation skills

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
