Family Law Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing comprehensive legal counsel to clients in various family law matters, including divorce, parental responsibility, timesharing, and domestic violence cases. They should possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload independently.

Job Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights, and issues, and provide thorough analysis.
• Analyze legal matters using research, precedents, and expertise to predict case outcomes.
• Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and professionally.
• Handle complex divorce cases involving significant assets.
• Manage cases involving parental responsibility and timesharing, including sensitive issues like domestic violence and mental health.
• Demonstrate empathy and advocacy for clients' interests.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including motions, hearings, and final hearings.
• Attend mediation and settlement conferences with clients.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and orders.
• Lead and collaborate with team members, including Paralegals, to ensure effective case management.
• Utilize computer software such as Microsoft Office and Clio for case management and documentation.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of litigation, client communication, law office administration, and Florida Bar compliance.
• Communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients.
• Utilize Zoom and other video conferencing software effectively for court presentations.

Requirements:

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Prior experience in Family Law practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with Clio is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work.
• Strong track record of success in family law practice.
• Mastery of Zoom and video conferencing software for court presentations.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
