Job Title: Patent Agent

Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Patent Agent with at least 2 years of patent prosecution experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with expertise in patent prosecution within 5G, Wi-Fi, artificial intelligence, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

  • Conducted patent prosecution activities, including drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Provide technical and legal expertise in patent matters related to wireless technologies, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop patent strategies and provide counsel on patent-related matters.
  • Conduct patentability searches and analyses to evaluate the patentability of inventions.
  • Assist in preparing opinions, due diligence investigations, and intellectual property-related agreements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Experience in patent prosecution within 5G, Wi-Fi, artificial intelligence, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Registered with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") or qualified to register for the USPTO.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Certifications:

  • Registration with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") or qualification to register for the USPTO.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in patent prosecution processes.
  • Strong technical understanding of wireless technologies, AI, processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Ability to conduct patentability searches and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
