Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Hospitality Senior Associate to join its Hospitality, Travel & Tourism practice group. The ideal candidate will advise clients on operational issues including marketing, distribution, procurement, and privacy/data security, with a strong focus on IT/IS agreements. The position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a senior leader in this specialized field and engage with a broad range of hospitality and travel industry clients.

Duties

  • Advise clients on operational matters including marketing, distribution, procurement, and technology contracts

  • Counsel clients regarding privacy and data security matters, particularly within the hospitality and travel sectors

  • Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements

  • Support hospitality industry clients such as hotels, resorts, cruise lines, travel agencies, and tour operators

  • Collaborate with legal teams and support staff to deliver client-focused solutions

  • Participate in industry-focused initiatives and assist with business development efforts

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in commercial transactions

  • Practical experience advising on marketing, distribution, and procurement within the lodging or travel industries

  • Familiarity with IT/IS agreements and operational legal issues specific to the hospitality sector

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing client-centric legal advice

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Knowledge of intellectual property, privacy, and data security (preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
