Job Overview: A law firm specializing in antitrust law is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with expertise in handling competition issues and merger control filings. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and its implementing Rules, as well as advocacy before the DOJ and FTC, particularly in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions.

Duties:

  • Analyze transactions for competition issues and merger control filing requirements, with a focus on the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and implementing Rules.
  • Conduct substantive analysis of competition issues, addressing procedural challenges, and managing filing logistics.
  • Provide advocacy services before the DOJ and FTC in matters related to antitrust.
  • Work on antitrust aspects of technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Proven experience in analyzing transactions for competition issues.
  • Familiarity with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and its implementing Rules.
  • Strong advocacy skills demonstrated through prior experience with the DOJ and FTC.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage complex filing logistics.
