Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Florida-licensed litigator to join its Miami, FL, office in a hybrid capacity. This full-time opportunity appeals to attorneys passionate about steering disputes from initial investigation through trial.

Duties

• Perform in-depth legal research and craft persuasive written analyses.

• Handle cyber liability and related technology-focused claims.

• Draft, serve, and respond to discovery requests on time.

• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties.

• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.

• Develop and execute trial strategy, including witness preparation and evidence presentation.

• Produce pleadings, substantive motions, legal memoranda, and negotiated settlement documents.

• Oversee and manage case files through all procedural stages, from docketing through verdict.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.

• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience handling civil litigation matters.

• Demonstrated familiarity with technology-related liability or cyber risk issues (preferred).

• Proven ability to juggle multiple court deadlines and client demands in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong attention to detail and a client-centered approach to case management.

• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy capabilities.

• Capacity to collaborate with a legal team while also working independently.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to and ongoing good standing with the Florida Bar.

• Deposition strategy, including examination and cross‐examination of witnesses.

• Proficient drafting of complex pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
