Job Overview:

A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Energy and Infrastructure Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, be admitted to the New York State Bar and/or D.C. Bar, and have a solid background in U.S. domestic renewables, including solar, wind, energy storage, and alternative fuels.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of U.S. renewables transactions, serving as the lead associate on projects.
  • Draft and negotiate debt and tax equity documents, representing both sponsors and lenders.
  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of energy and infrastructure matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external parties to facilitate successful deal closures.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar and/or D.C. Bar is required.
  • Proven background in renewables, with a focus on U.S. domestic projects.
  • Experience with debt and tax equity documents in the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of project documents and transactions in the renewables industry.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
