Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for their Carlsbad, CA office. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, including taking depositions, law and motion practice, and providing exceptional legal representation. They must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with confidence. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of litigation experience.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct law and motion practice, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
• Manage case files and deadlines effectively.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation matters.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and mediation.
• Review and analyze legal documents and contracts.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Current California Bar membership in good standing.
• 5-10 years of litigation experience.
• Proven experience taking depositions.
• Strong law and motion practice skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with confidence.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with legal research tools and software.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Current California Bar membership in good standing.
