A law firm in Englewood, CO, seeks a Construction Defect Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills, and will work on complex construction defect cases, collaborating with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case management strategies.

 

Job Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and writing for construction defect cases.
  • Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice to senior attorneys.
  • Assist in motions briefing, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and trial or arbitration proceedings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff on case management strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage case files, including organizing documents, preparing pleadings, and maintaining case calendars.
  • Attend court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Colorado preferred.
  • 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, including motions briefing, depositions, motion argument, and trial or arbitration experience.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Interest in and experience with construction defect cases preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the state of Colorado preferred.
