Bankruptcy Attorney

Job Overview:
A growing law firm in Hartford, CT, is seeking a dedicated Bankruptcy Attorney to join its team. This role involves working on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, advising clients, and managing legal strategies to ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing skills, the ability to manage a high caseload, and excellent interpersonal abilities. 

Location:

Duties:

• Analyze client needs and develop effective legal strategies.
• Prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
• Advise clients on available options and create strategic plans for case resolution.
• Represent clients in court hearings and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Supervise and collaborate with administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks.

Requirements:

• Experience representing clients preferred.
• Ability to work independently while managing a high caseload.
• Strong research and writing skills with experience in legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Connecticut (Required).

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and collaborate with support staff.
