Bankruptcy Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Litigation Associate to join its commercial mortgage-backed securities special servicer and creditors’ rights team. The role involves handling complex commercial foreclosures, receiverships, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy matters. Location:

Duties:

• Manage commercial foreclosure and receivership matters.
• Handle bankruptcy litigation, including motion practice, discovery (including e-discovery), and courtroom representation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings.
• Advise clients on commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including preparing and serving predicate notices and court pleadings.

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in commercial litigation and bankruptcy litigation.
• Strong background in real estate-related disputes.
• Experience with commercial landlord-tenant litigation preferred.
• Strong understanding of procedural rules and litigation strategy.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership and good standing in the state of practice.
