Job Overview:

This position is ideal for a lawyer with at least 6 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in real estate finance and joint ventures. Duties:

  • Represent institutional equity investors and developers in real estate joint ventures focused on acquisitions and developments of various commercial real estate product types.
  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of joint venture agreements for real estate transactions.
  • Provide counsel to institutional borrowers in the structuring and financing of both construction and stabilized real estate, including debt funds, structured finance, and CMBS-style financings.
  • Oversee complex transactions involving mezzanine financing components and other capital stack elements.
  • Manage client relationships and provide high-quality legal advice to various stakeholders in real estate deals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in real estate law, with a focus on finance and joint ventures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex real estate transactions and negotiations independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven track record of client-facing experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and a collaborative approach to working with team members.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing in the State of Texas.
