Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Tax Associate to join its team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will work with transactional tax lawyers to assist clients in navigating tax aspects of business transactions, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax benefits.

Duties

• Advise on tax issues in complex financial transactions.
• Structure transactions to minimize tax liabilities.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
• Identify and leverage tax credits and incentives.
• Collaborate on fund formations and international investments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a tax associate in a law firm.
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions.

Education

• LL.M. in Taxation required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Proficiency in handling complex tax matters.
