Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Analyze newly assigned case files and develop strategic plans, case budgets, and legal recommendations

  • Draft and respond to discovery, manage records, and oversee document production

  • Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and related discovery events, including detailed reporting

  • Negotiate claim settlements, obtain necessary approvals, and prepare cases for trial as required

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with legal assistants and paralegals

  • Manage multiple matters with efficiency in a deadline-sensitive environment

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina

  • 1-5 years of experience in workers’ compensation law or relevant litigation practice

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and readiness to learn legal case management software

  • Proven record of professional accountability, reliability, and sound judgment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
