Job Details

The Patent Agent will be responsible for:

  • Conducting prior art searches and analyzing technical literature.
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Collaborating with inventors and attorneys to gather necessary information for patent filings.
  • Providing technical expertise in patent-related matters, including patentability and infringement analyses.

Requirements

To be considered for the position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • 2-6 years of legal experience, focusing on intellectual property law.
  • Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.
  • Preference for candidates with expertise in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies.
  • Admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

  • Bar licensure in California.
  • Familiarity with patent matters related to chip design and semiconductor technology.
