A law firm in Cleveland is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Product Liability Associate Attorney with a focus on product liability defense work, particularly with medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturer clients. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, communication skills, and relevant experience in complex multi-district matters as well as individual cases. The Mid-Senior Level Product Liability Associate Attorney will primarily handle product liability defense work, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, conducting depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to product liability cases
  • Managing all aspects of discovery, including preparing and responding to discovery requests
  • Conducting fact, party, and expert depositions
  • Representing clients in court appearances and motion hearings
  • Providing legal research and analysis on complex legal issues
  • Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing litigator
  • Experience with product liability defense work is preferred
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Ohio
  • Former trial-level clerkships are a plus
  • A scientific background is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial orientation is desirable

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in Ohio

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
