A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its civil litigation practice in Vandalia, Ohio.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will assist with all aspects of civil litigation cases, from case inception to resolution. They will work closely with senior attorneys to manage caseloads and provide legal support to clients.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various civil litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings as needed.
  • Provide general legal support and assistance to senior attorneys as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Experience in civil litigation is preferred for exceptional candidates.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar.
