Job Overview:

This role involves representing a wide range of technology-focused clients in incident response, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity investigations, and strategic corporate transactions. Ideal candidates will bring a proactive mindset and strong analytical skills to support clients navigating the evolving data security landscape.

Duties:

  • Support clients through all phases of cybersecurity incident response

  • Advise on data protection obligations, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance

  • Provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity matters in mergers, acquisitions, and technology transactions

  • Work with clients in the cybersecurity industry on compliance with research and intelligence laws

  • Participate in internal investigations related to data breaches or security lapses

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex privacy and technology issues

  • Draft and review related documentation, including risk assessments and incident reports

  • Engage with state, federal, and international regulatory frameworks impacting cybersecurity

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of relevant legal experience in privacy, cybersecurity, or incident response

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive and high-stakes matters

  • Familiarity with U.S. and international privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)

  • Prior experience with government agencies or regulatory bodies is a plus

  • Strong legal research, writing, and presentation skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office or eligibility to waive in

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively

  • Technologically proficient and familiar with cybersecurity terminology
