Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to handle a diverse range of cases, including contract disputes, personal injury claims, employment matters, and more. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and representing clients in court.

Duties:

• Handle a broad spectrum of cases, including contract disputes, personal injury claims, employment matters, and more.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions.
• Manage the discovery process.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Collaborate with team members on case strategy and management.
• Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on case progress.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting.
• Experience in the courtroom and taking depositions; trial experience, is a plus.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
• Client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
