A law firm in Irving, TX, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to play a key role in overseeing business growth, managing core practice areas, and handling diverse estate planning matters. The ideal candidate will have expertise in commercial real estate transactions, corporate document drafting, and a strong background in probate court proceedings.

Job Details:

  • Identify valuable law firms, title relationships, and investment opportunities.
  • Oversee and accelerate new business growth by managing, developing, and implementing initiatives for core practice areas.
  • Identify current influencers and referral sources, developing both inbound and outbound referrals.
  • Identify local market opportunities for new business development.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements related to the sale, acquisition, leasing, and financing of commercial real estate.
  • Draft corporate documents, including partnership agreements and corporate resolutions.
  • Handle estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, and probate proceedings.
  • Represent clients in probate court and other legal proceedings related to estate planning.
  • 1-3 years of transactional experience in real estate and corporate matters is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Work directly with clients under the supervision of senior attorneys.
  • Possess excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials.
  • Enjoy working with clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds (proficiency in another language is a plus).

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-approved law school.
  • 3-5 years of estate planning experience, including wills, trusts, and probate matters.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate agreements.
  • Good standing and authorization to practice law in the State of Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficiency in another language is a plus.
