Job Overview: A law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a skilled Labor and Employment/Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Nevada courts and a strong understanding of Nevada Labor and Employment Laws.

Duties:

  • Perform legal research to support cases and provide legal advice.
  • Draft correspondence, complaints, and other litigation documents for filing as necessary.
  • Handle heavy discovery work efficiently and effectively.
  • Attend court hearings as required, representing clients in labor and employment litigation matters.
  • Work closely with the Managing Attorney and a team of 2-3 on all cases, providing support and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of Nevada Labor and Employment Laws.
  • Maintain good standing with the NV State Bar and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents and statutes.
  • Effectively work with clients, exercise sound judgment, and establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Nevada State Bar and good standing.
  • 1 year of experience is required.
  • Proven experience practicing law in Nevada courts, particularly in labor and employment matters.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
