Insurance Defense Attorney

A law firm in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing insurance defense matters, particularly focusing on bodily injury defense, construction defect, employment, or other insurance defense proceedings. This position emphasizes providing exceptional customer service and offers the freedom to direct legal strategy and litigation according to each lawyer's unique style. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing with the State of California Bar. Additional licensure in other states is considered a plus.

Duties:

• Manage insurance defense matters, specializing in bodily injury defense, construction defect, employment, or other insurance defense proceedings.
• Provide top-tier customer service to clients, guiding them through legal processes with professionalism and expertise.
• Direct legal strategy and conduct litigation according to individual legal styles, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.
• Perform thorough legal research, analysis, and preparation of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance law, court rulings, and legal trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school (Required).
• Admission to practice law in the State of California and in good standing with the State of California Bar.
• Experience in insurance defense, specializing in bodily injury defense, construction defect, employment, or related fields.
• Proven track record of successfully managing cases from inception to resolution.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
