Land Use Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on land use, administrative law, zoning, affordable housing, CEQA, Subdivision Map Act, historic preservation laws, and the California Coastal Act.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on land use matters to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents related to land use transactions and disputes.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop creative solutions to meet their needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in land use matters.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of solid land use experience.
• Strong interest in and enthusiasm for land use issues and trends.
• Experience with administrative law, zoning, affordable housing, CEQA, Subdivision Map Act, historic preservation laws, and the California Coastal Act is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail; excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• California Bar membership is in good standing.
