A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Coral Gables, FL office with 4-9 years of experience to join its team. The candidate will delve into significant real estate and commercial litigation matters, including shareholder derivative litigation, partnership disputes, personal sale disputes, and general contractual disputes between businesses, investors, and other entities. This role requires a billing requirement of 130 hours per month, with a bonus structure for billable hours beyond this threshold.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare legal correspondence.
  • Draft contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare and negotiate legal settlements.
  • Manage client expectations and meet deadlines.
  • Handle investigations and evidence collection.
  • Handle active litigation in local, state, and federal courts.
  • Investigate legal claims.
  • Research legal issues.
  • Record and maintain accurate time entries.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar (active and in good standing).
  • 4-9 years of relevant experience in real estate and commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of shareholder derivative litigation, partnership disputes, personal sale disputes, and contractual disputes.
  • Proven track record of success in litigation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
