Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Tax Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join their team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate should have a background in tax, estate, and trust planning, trust and estate administration, and litigation. Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong legal research capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior professional experience and/or an LLM are advantageous.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in tax, estate, and trust planning matters.
  • Assist clients with trust and estate administration procedures.
  • Handle tax-related litigation matters as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar.
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing law with a focus on tax, estate, and trust planning.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and resolve issues promptly.
  • High level of attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently in a high-stress environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar.
  • Prior professional experience and/or an LLM is a plus.
