Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join their team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in family law and the ability to manage client matters independently while working collaboratively with a team.

Duties

  • Handle divorces, child custody, and support issues for middle-income and high-net-worth clients.
  • Draft pleadings, settlement agreements, memoranda, and court submissions.
  • Provide effective client counseling and courtroom representation as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York Bar is required.
  • New Jersey Bar admission is preferred.
  • Proven background in family law, including divorce, custody, support, and equitable distribution.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.

 

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

 

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

 

Skills

  • Strong drafting and legal writing abilities.
  • Excellent client counseling and courtroom presence.
